The accredited Training Agency LA FABBRICA DELLE IDEE SRL presents a new free course for unemployed people and renews its invitation to young people to invest in their education, organising an advanced training I.F.T.S. course in the FASHION sector to become a “FASHION DESIGNER 5.0”.

The course will take place in Florence South, at the premises of the textile arts school FONDAZIONE ARTE DELLA SETA LISIO, in Via Benedetto Fortini 143 - 50125 Florence.

The opportunity to study and work in the field of fashion design and Made in Italy craftsmanship is supported by the Tuscany Region, which has recognised the value of the initiative, making the entire course completely free for the 20 selected students who will be able to participate. The course is funded through the resources of the POR FSE TOSCANA 2014-2020 and is part of GIOVANI Sì, the Tuscany Region project for youth autonomy.

At the end of the Master course, students will become Higher Technicians capable of managing the creation of clothing design projects, from concept development to production, from pattern making to 3D and 4D design, up to marketing and prototyping, with particular attention to ecological and sustainability aspects of the raw materials used. They will be able to work in medium and large companies, as well as in artisan realities developing new clothing concepts.

The FASHION DESIGNER works closely with the style department, product development, the commercial-marketing area and the production areas involved in the product development process (cutting and prototyping).

The course is organised in collaboration with the LICEO ARTISTICO DI PORTA ROMANA E SESTO FIORENTINO of Florence, the University of Florence – Department of Architecture FASHION DESIGN DIDA (which will recognise 12 CFU to access the Bachelor’s Degree Course in Industrial Design - L4), the company TESSILNOVA of Stia, a gem of traditional Tuscan craftsmanship, and last but not least, the FONDAZIONE ARTE DELLA SETA LISIO of Florence, School of Textile Arts, manufacturer of fine fabrics and Research Centre, which boasts prestigious collaborations with renowned international fashion brands.

The course is open to all unemployed or employed citizens, with no age limit, provided they hold a high school diploma and have a strong passion for fashion. The course will run from February 2022 to December 2022 and includes 240 hours of internship in companies already identified and interested in the professional profile being trained. Applications close on 25 February 2022.
