Ecofriendly Fashion Designer for sustainable and Made in Italy fashion
(project code 321448)
specialisation in Techniques for the artisanal production of Made in Italy products
Within the FASHION sector, the GreenDesigner project aims to train young talents in response to the employment needs of companies, which are looking for technical professionals capable of managing the entire life cycle of the clothing product, while respecting the environment.
The Ecofriendly Fashion Designer Technician will be able to design products, but above all to select materials, evaluate the energy efficiency of production processes, and identify optimal solutions for the entire product life cycle, up to its industrial production.
All this in favour of environmental sustainability and respect for nature. Technical focus will also be placed on social sustainability, workplace safety, and foreign languages. Only a properly trained professional will be able to manage the entire product life cycle: for these reasons, the IFTS GreenDesignerprogramme includes a pathway structured into 12 training units, with trainers coming from the professional, educational, and university sectors, and is based on the real analysis of the needs of Tuscan companies, which also request a return to the artisanal skills typical of the Florentine textile tradition and Made in Italy.
This is an integrated training pathway, with activities aimed at developing technical skills in the creation of garments: from the creation/concept development and market analysis, to the design/development of the prototype sample (on a real model and with CAD support), up to the development of the fashion collection and its industrialisation (production), while respecting local craftsmanship, Made in Italy, and above all environmental protection and preservation, the true distinctive feature of the Green Fashion Designer.
STRUCTURE OF THE TRAINING PATHWAY
The pathway has a total duration of 990 hours and is organised into theoretical lessons, laboratory exercises, internships, and guidance activities.
