RESKILLING NOTICE – TRAINING REQUALIFICATION PROJECTS

EXPERIENCE: Catalogue of skills for fashion specialists
The training pathway aims to develop technical-professional skills enabling the participant to work as a GENERAL WORKER IN THE FASHION SECTOR (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL COURSE), with prior basic knowledge of the job gained through previous experience, studies, or personal interest, thereby acquiring more specific activities and developing advanced technical-professional skills.
The course issues a skills certificate referring to the following Units of Competence (UC) – EQF Level 4:
Management of issues related to product processing (UC 735)
and the following UC – EQF Level 3:
Production control (UC 699)
Fault and fabric defect reporting (UC 701)
The course develops the technical and professional skills required to oversee the production reality of the fashion sector at 360°, including production cycles and work phases.
TECHNICAL-PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
Managing issues related to production phases, intervening to resolve them according to the production manager’s instructions; performing quality control of spinning and weaving products while the fabric runs on machinery; checking for anomalies and defects caused by machines or fabrics, and reporting any issues to the shift supervisor or production manager.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
The professional figure works within the textile sector in knitting factories or textile manufacturing companies, typically in small and medium-sized enterprises. This worker reports either to the shift supervisor or directly to the production manager.

Implementing body and training venue: Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio, Largo Torricelli 7, Pieve al Toppo – 52041 Civitella in Val di Chiana (AR), Italy.
Places are limited to 11 participants, and attendance is mandatory.
The course is structured into the following training units:
- DigComp – 24 hours
- Interpersonal communication – 11 hours
- Workplace safety – 8 hours
- Environmental sustainability in the procurement process – 8 hours
- Raw materials and production procurement – 26 hours
- Merchandise science basics (textile goods knowledge) – 12 hours
- Preparation of yarns for production setup – 36 hours
- Product production setup and execution – 40 hours
- Internship (stage) – 165 hours
Who can apply
- Recipients of wage-support schemes while still employed: specific categories of workers defined by the 2022 Budget Law (Law 234/2021, Art. 1, paragraph 200).
- Recipients of wage-support schemes without an active employment contract: unemployed individuals receiving NASPI or DIS-COLL benefits.
- Recipients of welfare-based income support: recipients of Citizenship Income (Reddito di cittadinanza).
- Fragile or vulnerable workers: NEET youth (under 30), women in disadvantaged conditions, persons with disabilities, older workers (55+).
- Unemployed without income support: unemployed for at least six months, other workers with reduced employment opportunities (youth and women, including those not formally classified as vulnerable), self-employed individuals who have ceased activity or have very low income.
- Low-income workers (so-called “working poor”): individuals whose employment or self-employment income is below the tax “no-tax area” threshold according to tax regulations.
Minimum entry requirements
Completion of 18 years of age. Possession of an EQF Level 3 professional qualification or an upper secondary school diploma, or at least 3 years of documented work experience in the relevant professional field. For foreign citizens, a minimum Italian language level B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required.
How to apply
Step 1 – Access to the GOL Programme
Interested applicants must enrol in the GOL programme (Garanzia Occupabilità Lavoratori) exclusively at the Tuscany Public Employment Centres (Centri per l’Impiego):
https://arti.toscana.it/recapiti-cpi. At the selected Employment Centre, each participant will be assigned a specific pathway based on the outcome of the orientation process. If assigned to: Measure 2 (Upskilling) or Measure 3 (Reskilling) the participant becomes eligible to enrol in a training course and proceeds to Step 2.
Step 2 – Course enrolment
In this phase, the participant can enrol in the course included in the assigned Upskilling or Reskilling measure. Registration can be completed: at a Public Employment Centre, or at an accredited employment agency List of approved agencies:

Final Certification
Upon passing the final exam, the Tuscany Region will issue a Skills Certification (Certificazione delle Competenze) for each Unit of Competence (UC). For the DigComp training unit, a Declaration of Learning Outcomes (Dichiarazione degli Apprendimenti) will be issued.
If the final exam for one or more UCs is not passed, a Declaration of Learning Outcomes may still be issued for each UC concerned, provided that all intermediate learning assessments have been successfully completed.
