From Creation to Commercialisation. How to Ethically and Sustainably Create a Made in Italy Product for the Contemporary Fashion Industry
The workshop, part of Project A1 – Services for Culture and Creativity (TOCC A1), funded by the PNRR (Mission 1 – Component 3 “Tourism and Culture 4.0”, Investment 3.3), offers a practical guide for cultural and creative professionals on the design and commercialisation of sustainable fashion products. Through an integrated approach, the programme focuses on the selection of low environmental impact raw materials, promoting ethics and sustainability as pillars of contemporary Made in Italy.
Main Contents
- Responsible selection and management of raw materials:
Techniques for assessing the environmental and social impact of materials. - Ethical creative processes:
Integration of sustainability into design, from concept development to production. - Commercialisation strategies:
Tools for enhancing the value of products on the market, emphasising transparency and authenticity. - Best practices for circularity:
Waste reduction and resource optimisation.
Training and Teaching
- In-person workshop
(27 October 2025, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) at the Noell Maggini Atelier (Montale, PT), designer specialised in sustainable fashion and textile innovation. - The workshop combines theoretical training and practical activities, with case studies applied to the Italian context.
Participants
Professionals from the cultural and creative sector:
Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (both for-profit and non-profit), artists, third-sector organisations, and professionals working in the fields defined by Creative Europe. Objective: strengthening skills for the green and digital transition.

The initiative is promoted by Università Politecnica delle Marche, SID srl, Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio, and Marchingegno srl, within the framework of the PNRR capacity-building programme for cultural operators.
