Public notice for the funding of training projects aimed at job placement, particularly at local level and of a recurring nature, approved by the Tuscany Region with Executive Decree no. 8454 of 24/05/2018.
The call for applications is open for the free professional qualification course “Textile Processing Worker, specialized in Quality Control” (Project code 238356).
The course is entirely free of charge, as it is funded by the POR FSE TOSCANA 2014–2020 resources, and is organized by the training agency PARTNER s.r.l. in collaboration with the Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio, Florence.

Specialized in Quality Control
The course is aimed at training textile processing workers capable of operating highly automated machinery (mainly circular knitting machines and looms) to ensure correct production processes and quality control.
The worker is able to read CAD drawings to start the machine and has a basic knowledge of English. They are responsible for feeding the machine (inserting yarns) and supplying raw materials. They carry out basic checks to ensure product quality and intervene in case of minor issues.
They work within the textile sector in knitwear factories or fabric manufacturing companies, typically small to medium-sized enterprises.
Training modules:
UC 692 – Machine feeding
UC 696 – Production start-up
UC 699 – Production control
UC 701 – Fault and fabric defect reporting
INTERNSHIP – 400 hours
ORIENTATION – 30 hours

No. 12 adult citizens, inactive, not in education or training, unemployed or job-seeking, residing or domiciled in a municipality of the Tuscany Region; non-EU citizens must hold a valid residence permit for study/professional training purposes; and must have fulfilled compulsory education requirements (for foreign citizens, a declaration of value certifying the level and type of studies completed, in accordance with the regulations of the country where the qualification was obtained, is required).
For foreign students, a knowledge of the Italian language not lower than level A2 EQF is also required.

Selection for admission
If eligible applications exceed the available places, a selection process will be held on 25 and 26 June 2019 from 9:30 a.m. at the Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio, Via Benedetto Fortini 143 – 50125 Florence, with the appointment of a specific Commission.
The selection will consist of: CV screening (20%), psycho-attitudinal test (25%), IT test (25%), and motivational interview (30%). Passing threshold: 60/100.
The final ranking will take into account reserved places for gender equality (6 places) and equal opportunities (1 place), only for candidates who pass the selection tests.
Final certification
Upon passing the final examination, the Tuscany Region will issue a QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATE as “Operator for feeding, start-up and operation of machines used in the production process (71), EQF Level III”.
Admission to the final exam is subject to compulsory attendance of at least 70% of total course hours, including at least 50% of internship hours, in accordance with current regulations.
In the event of failure to pass the final exam, either a CERTIFICATION OF COMPETENCES relating to individual ADA/UC units of the qualification profile, or a STATEMENT OF LEARNING OUTCOMES may be issued, subject to passing intermediate learning assessments.
