How to enroll for WORKSHOP Serigrafia d'Arte - Scuola di Calascio
WORKSHOP “Art Screen Printing”
“Art Screen Printing” is a workshop designed to rediscover and pass on an ancient printing technique, developed over a century ago within the field of textile decoration. In a region historically connected to these practices, which are now in gradual decline, the workshop acts as an active initiative for preserving a technical and artistic heritage at risk of being lost.
Thanks to the commitment of the Accademia di Belle Arti dell'Aquila — a regional educational institution of reference that has made strategic investments in the field of graphic arts — and its lecturer Daniel Antonio Tummolillo, this need for preservation is transformed into concrete action: fostering collaborative networks with local organisations, encouraging fertile interdisciplinary exchange, and supporting the cultural and social development of the community.
The initiative therefore combines methodological innovation with strong local roots, transforming a traditional process into a dynamic tool for contemporary education and cultural advancement.
Lecturer Daniel Antonio Tummolillo
Daniel Antonio Tummolillo is currently a lecturer in Art Printing, Art Graphics for affiliated students, and Screen Printing for Master’s programmes at the Accademia di Belle Arti dell'Aquila. With 14 years of teaching experience at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, he has developed his own teaching methods over time, focused on a more pragmatic approach to screen printing education.
In 2021, he published a book dedicated to the analysis and documentation of artisanal screen-printing workshops and artists who use this printing technique throughout Italy.
