The course is part of ISTÓS – “Calascio School for Advanced Training in Weaving, Native Wool and Plant Fibres." With the contribution of the pilot project for cultural, social, and economic regeneration “Rocca Calascio – Luce d’Abruzzo” promoted by the Municipality of Calascio, selected by the Abruzzo Region within the framework of the Ministry of Culture PNRR measure (Line A – M1.C3 – Investment 2.1 – “Attractiveness of Villages”), funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

Saturday 24 May | A hands-on experience in restoration and creation
We will work with washed virgin wool, specially prepared for the day, ready to be transformed through carding and hand-stuffing techniques. Each participant will shape their own project and return home with a small mattress or finished cushion, handmade from start to finish.
Bring your personal touch:
If you have fabrics that hold special meaning for you or wool you would like to regenerate, bring them along! It will be the perfect opportunity to incorporate them into your work and give them a new life.
