FLAPP armchair, a collaboration with Pozzebon Atelier

The Flapp armchair was born from the important collaboration with the Pozzebon upholstery. A true masterpiece of craftsmanship that sees the “Veronese” fabric as the dominant element. An armchair with an elegant design symbol of great mastery of execution that also gives elegance to the rooms where it is located.

The “Fondo Veronese” lampas from the Arte della Seta Lisio Foundation was selected for the creation of the FLAPP limited edition armchair by Pozzebon Atelier of Brescia.

Production of the “Fondo Veronese” began in 1915 alongside the “Veronese", as it was designed to complement the latter. Indeed, the absence of gold and silver brocading leaving the textured ground, with its contrasting color mottling effects, completely unobstructed has made this fabric highly prized, whether paired with the more opulent brocaded version or used as a standalone material, particularly in interior décor.

It is precisely this fabric that was chosen for the creation of the armchair a material embodying the excellence of "Made in Italy" and serving as a bridge between modern design and the region’s rich textile heritage.

Flapp is an armchair created by architect Menna and reimagined through the collaboration between Pozzebon Upholstery and Formula 5 Design Factory.

Flapp exemplifies elegant, contemporary design that highlights the excellence of Italian craftsmanship. Its key strength lies in its high level of customization; it can be created by combining various color options for the seat, backrest, and detailing.

The support structure for the "wings" and legs is made of powder-coated wrought iron and is fully detachable. The wings feature a wooden core, multi-density foam padding, and upholstery choices ranging from fabrics and velvets to leather. Every element is crafted by skilled artisans. Entirely made in Italy.

The use of the “Fondo Veronese” lampas fabric elevates the armchair beyond a mere furnishing item, transforming it into a piece that tells a story of excellence, tradition, and meticulous attention to detail hallmarks of Pozzebon’s “bespoke” approach.

Pozzebon Atelier from 1997

Pozzebon Upholstery was founded in 1997 by Gabriella Pozzebon from Milan, driven by her passion for high-end textile furnishings and upholstery.

The business grew thanks to a long series of collaborations with various retailers in Milan, Bergamo and Brescia. Her children followed in her footsteps, joining the company in 2001. Marco, the eldest, consolidated his theoretical and practical skills by attending the Atisea upholstery school in Milan. Gabriele, the second son, chose instead to enrich his experience in the field, training directly in the historic workshops of Brescia.

Subsequently, the two brothers took over the business, combining traditional knowledge with a modern approach and a particular focus on new trends in interior design
