The Fondazione Lisio will hold an off-site course at the Fondazione Antonio Ratti in Como. The course will focus on the observation, recognition, and description of various silk weaves such as taffeta, satin, cannelé, diamantina, and pekin.
It will continue with an in-depth study of patterned textiles: brocade, damask, velvet, and lampas. Fabrics from the collections of the Fondazione Antonio Ratti will be observed and analysed.
