WORKSHOPS: TRAME – Sustainable Interweavings Between the Performing Body and Textile Arts
The Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio and Università Politecnica delle Marche, as part of the “Services for Green Events” project, invite you to take part in the two workshops of “Trame – Sustainable Interweavings Between the Performing Body and Textile Arts”, taking place on 20 and 21 September in Florence.
👗 Textile Weaving and Upcycling Workshop
📌 20 September – at Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio
Instructor: Ciro Lipari
👉 Maximum 10 participants with tailoring expertise
🎭 Performance and Reuse Workshop
📌 21 September – at Teatro di Cestello
Instructors: Simona Lisi in collaboration with Paolo Bragaglia
👉 Maximum 15 actors (aged 16–35) with experience in theatre/dance
🕖 7:00 pm → public presentation open to all
The inspiration for the two workshops comes from the performance “Bring me your dress” by Simona Lisi, a work exploring the theme of memory hidden within the textures of garments and stage costumes.
Environmental sustainability represents the common thread between the craftsmanship of the first workshop and the artistic expression of the second.
👗 The first workshop – “Textile Weaving and Upcycling”
Dedicated to fashion and costume students, costume designers, and enthusiasts with experience in tailoring. Guided by Ciro Lipari, participants will transform personal garments brought by the performers, creating stage costumes through recycling and reuse practices.
🎭 The second workshop – “Performance and Reuse”
Dedicated to students and actors aged between 16 and 35 who already have experience in theatre or dance. Under the guidance of Simona Lisi and accompanied by the music of Paolo Bragaglia, participants will create a sensitive performance journey exploring the theme of memory connected to the costumes developed during the tailoring workshop, using the tools of stage practice.
On Sunday 21 September at 7:00 pm, at the Teatro di Cestello in Florence, the public presentation of the two workshops will take place.
TO PARTICIPATE: 👉 Registration via the QR code on the poster or >>through the registration form<<
