The new prestigious two-year course in “Historical and Stage Costume Tailoring” will be presented on Saturday, 13 October 2018, at 11:00 a.m. The event will provide an opportunity to learn more about and discover this new educational pathway, based on constant dialogue with lecturers, tailored to the needs and requirements of participants, and strongly focused on entrepreneurship and practical knowledge of the profession. A new opportunity for all those interested in costume tailoring for the performing arts and live events in general.

The course in “Historical and Stage Costume Tailoring”, organized and promoted by the Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio of Florence, in collaboration with the Accademia Carrara of Bergamo and with the participation of the Fondazione Franco Zeffirelli Onlus, Social Design, and Atelier Cooperativa Sociale Onlus, is aimed at training professionals capable of reconstructing garments and accessories consistent with historical periods — from antiquity to the contemporary era, including fantasy and comics — intended to represent theatrical, cinematic, historically accurate reenactment, or imaginary subjects.
